Scholarships for Working Musicians
In order to ensure musicians are not left out of the music/technology debate that affects their livelihood, we offer artist scholarships for all our events. This way, many of the audience participants are those who have the biggest stake in the policy debate: musicians themselves.
Thanks to our 2014 scholarships fund sponsor CD Baby, a limited number of musicians will be able to attend FMC’s 2014 Policy Summit on a subsidized scholarship.
Note that the scholarship waives the majority of registration fees, allowing full registration for awardees on a sliding scale basis. FMC cannot cover travel or lodging expenses.
Exclusive this year:
As a special perk for musician scholarship awardees, Berklee Online is sponsoring full tuition for one artist for one of its 12-week for-credit online courses*, worth $1449. Help us help more musicians!
Help us to have as diverse and enthusiastic audience as possible by using our outreach tools and your social network to let other musicians, label mates, and songwriters know about the FMC Policy Summit and the scholarship opportunities.
Scholarship applications will be accepted through Monday, October 20th. Questions on the scholarship program should be directed to Julie at julie [at] futureofmusic [dot] org.
The 2014 musicians scholarship fund is made possible through a generous contribution from CD Baby.
