FMC Summit 2012 will take place at New America Foundation in downtown Washington, DC and is easily accessible by all modes of transportation.

The Washington, DC, area features several major international airports, all with a variety of ground transportation options to get you from the airport to Georgetown and the surrounding area. The closest and most convenient airport is Reagan (DCA). It is on the Blue line of DC's subway system and a short cab ride to downtown. The next convenient airport is Dulles (IAD), with regular bus service to the Rosslyn and West Falls Church Metro stations (Orange metro line). BWI airport has a regular train service to Union Station (Red metro line) by Amtrak and local MARC trains, but by car it is 1 to 1.5 hours from DC.

There are a number of public transportation options to get you to the Summit location.
- Metro train: The closest metro stations are Farragut North on the Red line and Farragut West on the Blue and Orange lines. Each Metro ride is between $1.70 and $5.75, depending on distance and time traveled. See the WMATA website for full system details.
- Metro bus: DC's bus system is reliable and extensive (see a full system map). A full run-down of the system can be found at the WMATA website and they include a great trip planner feature on the main page. Regular trips are $1.70 and express trips are $3.65.
- Taxis: DC's taxis run on a meter system, meaning the cost of the trip will vary depending on distance traveled.
For those of your arriving in DC by train, the Red line metro runs between the Union Station and Farragut North stations.
