Here’s something exciting: to commemorate FMC’s 10 years of fighting for musicians, our hero Jon Langford (Mekons, Waco Brothers) has designed a one-of-a-kind poster celebrating our work towards a brighter future for music. Click here to buy a poster for $125.
Jon Langford is a pioneer in incorporating folk and country into punk rock. With Mekons and Waco Brothers, he helped blaze a trail for pretty much every ass-kickin’ Americana act around. In addition to his music, Jon is an accomplished artist, earning accolades for his amazing portraits of music legends such as Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Fats Domino and more.
Jon walks it like he talks it (and rocks it), so we’re beyond delighted that he’s created an amazing, original work of art to honor our first ten years of existence. You can help us make it ten more by purchasing a poster today! These limited edition 18x24 signed and numbered prints also make a great gift for the holidays. Grab yours now!
And DC-area folks get another treat: on Friday, November 20th, FMC’s very own Jean Cook will be rocking out with Jon Langford & the Skull Orchestra at Iota Club and Café in Arlington, VA. We will have some posters available for sale there, too. More info about the show here.
Jon has also created an extremely limited number of wood backed panels of this image. Due to the limited supply, to purchase a panel please call 202-822-2051 *119 and ask for Nicole or Lissa or email nicole [at] futureofmusic [dot] org.
These limited edition posters will go fast, so don’t dawdle! And if you’re able to hang with us at the DC show, we’d be delighted to see you.
